MURINET (Multidisciplinary Research Network on Health and Disability in Europe) provides a platform for 13 internationally recognized institutions and their research teams to collaborate on cutting-edge research projects. Our mission is to train and empower early-stage researchers in health and disability management, integrating multidisciplinary skills and applying them in the context of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF).
About MURINET
MURINET unites thirteen leading European institutions and their research teams of international stature to foster collaboration in health and disability research. Through structured training programs, our network develops early-stage researchers capable of tackling complex challenges in healthcare and disability management.
The network benefits from the support of a specialized SME providing expertise in European Commission (EC) funding programs, proposal writing, and project management. This ensures that our research and training activities are well-structured and impactful.
MURINET implements a cohesive, flexible framework for training researchers, breaking disciplinary and institutional boundaries while promoting high-quality multidisciplinary research. Our goal is to create a strong European pool of experts capable of improving health and disability policies across Europe.
Our Mission
MURINET’s mission is to train researchers who can integrate multiple skills within the ICF framework, enabling them to plan and manage health and disability strategies in a human rights context.
We are committed to promoting the full integration and participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Our mission is grounded in ethical principles, ensuring that research and policy recommendations are inclusive, evidence-based, and multidisciplinary.
